   We prepare your quote

   In about a minute, our team and an automated document review check the service location, the documents and how the papers must be served.

   Review every line

   Your itemized quote shows the rate for each service address and any surcharge that applies, each with its reason.

   Approve and pay

   Pay on the spot, or later from the emailed copy, which stays valid for 7 days. Nothing is charged until you approve the quote.

Published surcharges

A surcharge is added to your quote only when its condition applies, and each one is shown with its reason before you pay.

No travel charges in New York City or New Jersey.

  Every defendant served in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Pennsylvania, DC, Maryland and Virginia: the papers are handed to the named person, with no substitute service. In other states, when the papers require it; New York divorce, separation and annulment papers always do.

  Every order served in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Florida, Pennsylvania, DC, Maryland and Virginia.

• Additional defendant, same address

  Each further defendant served at an address another defendant shares, in place of a second service charge.

• Travel outside a metro area

  Addresses outside a metropolitan area, by the USDA rural-urban ZIP code classification.

  +$45per address

• Next Day or Same Day outside a metro area

  Replaces the travel charge when a Next Day or Same Day address is outside a metropolitan area.

  +$75per address

• Remote rural area

  Small-town and rural addresses, by the USDA rural-urban ZIP code classification.

  +$95per address

• Protective or restraining order

  Orders of protection, restraining orders and TROs, or petitions for one.

  +$50per order

• Weekend, off-hours or specific time

  When you ask for service on a weekend, outside business hours or within a set time window. No service on Sundays; Saturday by arrangement.

• Substitute service mailing

  Outside the states where personal service is standard, when the papers may be left with another person and a follow-up copy must be mailed.

  +$25per defendant

• Restricted-access location

  Hospitals, nursing homes, jails, military bases, airports, hotels, gated communities and secured buildings.

• Stakeout or wait time

  When you ask the server to wait for or watch for the recipient.

• Evasive recipient

  When the recipient is avoiding service, which takes extra attempts at varied times.
